The success story of La Mére Poulard started 1888 in Mont-Saint-Michel in France. Annette Poulard opened an in that year. There she served pilgrims and gourmets wandering through this area. the small round butter cookies soon turned it the besteller serving as a welcome and long lasting snack for her guests. Even today La Mere Poulard Sablés are baked on hand of the orginal recipe – and using the best regional ingredients.
