SEIZE THE SEASONING

Unlike many other salts, Maldon salt is not produced indurstriallly. Since 1882 the company has been family-owned by the Osborne family, today in its fourth generation. The naturally formed pyramid salt flakes have been made with the traditional artisan methods in the coastal town of Maldon on the English North Sea Coast.

With its structure and its uniquely good and incredibly fine and pure sea salt flavour could the maldon salt inspire chefs and gourmets all over the world.

Maldon Salt is a highly versatile ingredient that can be used at any point in the cooking process – whether the seasoning of fried potatoes, fish, grilled meat, vegetables or dessert – simply pinch between finger and thumb and crumble over your food. To the recipes

Sustainability is also an important issue for the family company. They are always seeking ways to lessen their footprint and are currently working on a five year plan to both increase the sustainability of all the packaging they use and make sure all of the packaging is easily recyclable. In addition with every Maldon salt box produced we will be supporting the World Land Trust and the fantastic work they do to protect threatened habitats and wildlife.
