In 2006, Surprise Drinks’ current CEO, engineer Pavel Dlouhy, developed a patented system of a drinkable drink in a bottle with a toy hidden in a capsule attached to the bottle (Drink&PlayTM). His wife Kamila’s pregnancy inspired him to create a “pregnant bottle” in the shape of a woman expecting a baby.

The company Surprise Drinks was founded in 2009 as a joint venture between the inventor of the concept – Dlouhy – and experienced investors from the Netherlands and the USA, some of whom brought experience from well-known beverage companies.

Bubble Tea, a global phenomenon and a popular drink from Taiwan, was invented in the 80s, originally as a mix of tea, milk and ice cream. The beads came a little later. The modern version of bubble tea is a combination of tea with syrup, complemented by popping tapioca or jelly balls filled with fruit juice –  all in one cup. When you shake it, small bubbles appear on the surface, hence the name bubble tea. It gets its special meaning when you drink it through a thick straw through which the bubbles fit. – Each one of them bursts in your mouth, guaranteeing a refreshingly fresh taste experience.

Founded in 2021, OMG Bubble Tea was born from a bold idea and eypert execution. Created by two passionate minds – Jonas, the idea generator, and Ieva, A food technoogist with a mission – the brand set out to make quality bubble tea accessible to everyone, everywhere.
